Product Description

Retire the 175W metal halide bulb and drop in a 40-watt LED that delivers 6000 lumens of 5000K daylight-tone light. This ED28 lamp uses the mogul extended EX39 base standard on commercial HID fixtures and wires ballast bypass on 120 to 277 volts — no ballast, no external driver.

White housing softens direct glare, and the 5000K color pushes toward true daylight for high-visibility outdoor and industrial applications. The 320-degree beam pattern spreads light the way the original HID did, so retrofit installations do not need reflector changes.
