SATCO/NUVO FS/4 Starter With Condenser 13 30 40W (S2787)

Built to preheat and strike 30- and 40-watt preheat fluorescent tubes, this FS/4 fluorescent lamp starter drops into standard starter sockets on preheat-style fixtures. The onboard condenser suppresses radio-frequency interference so nearby electronics don't pick up buzz when the lamp cycles.

A worn-out starter is the usual reason a preheat fluorescent flickers repeatedly, glows at the ends but won't light, or blackens near the pins. Swap the starter first before replacing the tube or the ballast.
