Product Description

This 1500-watt standard metal halide lamp puts out 170,000 lumens of 4000K white light for large-format commercial and outdoor installations where sheer output matters — municipal roadways, high-mast area lighting, stadium and industrial sites. The BT56 tubular bulb runs from a mogul base and holds up in the ambient temperature swings that outdoor and unheated indoor sites throw at it.

Standard metal halide technology delivers better color and higher efficacy than the high-pressure sodium and mercury vapor sources it commonly replaces, and probe-start ignition keeps the lamp compatible with the electromagnetic HID ballasts already installed on legacy systems. The lamp is designed for horizontal base-up operation, so fixture orientation should match.
