Westinghouse Saf-T-Bar Can Be Used With Engineered Trusses Bulk Packed (#0152511)

Hang a ceiling fan or heavy fixture on a truss-framed ceiling with this Saf-T-Bar brace and integrated junction box. The expanding brace bar reaches across standard joist bays and locks tight against the framing, and the integrated box gives an installer one part number to specify instead of a separate brace-and-box order.

Rated for use with engineered trusses as well as conventional joists — a distinction that matters on modern homes where truss webbing rules out cutting between framing members. UL and cULus Listed for fan-rated installations.
